The University of Calabar has recorded another milestone in student leadership as Comr. Ogbodum Gift Alex, Immediate Past Director of Information, UNICAL Students’ Union Government, has been elected President-Elect of the Cross River State Medical Laboratory Science Students’ Association, CRIMELSSA, UNICAL Chapter.
The election was ratified with the issuance of a Certificate of Return by the CRIMELSSA Electoral Committee, ELECO. The document, signed by Comr. Ekpenukpang Godwin O., ELECO Chairman and Comr. Donatus Asuquo, ELECO Secretary, confirms his election to the Office of President.
Comr. Ogbodum, a Medical Laboratory Science student, served creditably as SUG Director of Information, where he enhanced media visibility and communication between the SUG and the student populace.
In his acceptance, the President-Elect thanked members of CRIMELSSA for their confidence and pledged to lead an administration committed to student welfare, academic excellence, professional development, and unity among Medical Laboratory Science students across Cross River State.
His emergence has been greeted with widespread congratulations from colleagues and stakeholders, who described it as well-deserved
